Job Description

TEXTURE/CURE OPERATOR: Heavy Civil Highway Construction: Operate and Maintain concrete texture/cure machine. Responsible for monitoring concrete curing rate, judging when to apply texture finish and curing compound as required for slip form paving operations. Inspects equipment prior to use while ensuring daily maintenance of the equipment is complete. Maintain equipment in proper operating condition by performing preventive maintenance tasks and/or making repairs. Ensuring cure tank is full of curing compound prior to the start of paving operations. Gomaco experience preferred but not mandatory. Must be detail-oriented with the ability to process information quickly and accurately. Takes initiative and prioritizes tasks: organization, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills. Dependable and able to work independently with little supervision as well as with a team of individuals. Assists in training less experienced employees on the proper operations, servicing and repair of the equipment to further their abilities.
