The Role
Ensure timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of work performed by technicians
Perform inspections post install to ensure compliance to client specifications
Complete reviews to ensure proper restoration of area
Capture photos and attach to the inspection report
White line excavations and collects locate data
Verifies the system is complying with all safety requirements
Performs work in a safe manor, following all OSHA and company guidelines
Prioritize, organize, and efficiently complete tasks to meet deadlines
Work in a variety of outdoor environments
Drives company vehicles responsibly and safely
Conducts and attends meetings as needed
Requirements
Prior telecommunications industry experience preferred
Knowledge of both aerial and underground practices and specifications
Experience in both aerial and underground equipment
Valid driver's license
Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
Experience with underground locates and the ability to use a compass for directional instructions
Basic mechanical aptitude, ability to utilize hand tools for intended purposes
Ability to travel daily and open to a variety of schedules
Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to learn and operate testing equipment and software/programs
Ability to utilize hand tools, identify wire size/color and accurately utilize measuring devices
Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds)
Ability to complete work indoors, outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time
Ability to safely navigate various terrains, managing equipment and tools
A body weight of no more than 275 pounds to perform ladder work safely. Safety is our #1 Priority. If personal safety is not compromised, an accommodation may be available based on previous ladder experience in a similar role.
Perform construction coordination functions with customers and areas assigned.
Coordinate and maintain assigned projects.
Ensure that all company property in use by employees is properly maintained.
Will adhere to all Company and departmental policies, standards and established procedures.
