As a Union Fire Sprinkler Fitter, you will

• Be highly skilled in the service, repair, and installation of various fire sprinkler systems and equipment.

• Assign and delegate tasks to sprinkler fitters and/or apprentices to optimize personnel utilization.

• Coordinate and manage all assigned projects in collaboration with management.

• Demonstrate knowledge of NFPA standards and state requirements for installation.

• Manage labor costs, materials, and project deadlines effectively.

• Review project plans and scopes with management.

• Interpret complex construction blueprints and specifications for installation purposes.

• Complete required documentation, including repair recommendations.

• Assist management in quoting repairs and tenant improvements.

• Maintain highly structured schedules and ensure all work is documented accurately.

• Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operations and assist with training.

• Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.

• Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment in accordance with corporate policies.

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in fire sprinkler systems service, repair, and installation.

• High school diploma or state-recognized GED.

• Ability to read and understand design and construction documents.

• Proficiency in using hand tools, laptops, emails, smartphones, and tablets.

• Capability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.

• Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Good customer-facing and customer service skills

• Legal authorization for employment in the United States

• Possession of a valid driver's license with limited violations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in estimating service repairs and tenant improvements

• Proficiency in the layout of fire sprinkler systems

• Experience with servicing and installation of various fixed extinguishing systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

• Membership in a Bargaining Unit (union)
