    Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: Negotiable (depends on experience)

    What's a typical day as a Sheetmetal Tech? You'll be:

    • Safely performing sheetmetal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment, or fabricated items on aircraft using schematics, blueprints, and technical instructions

    • Mentoring and training other Sheetmetal Technicians, ensuring compliance with quality control standards

    • Overseeing projects and assessing requirements for assigned tasks, procuring necessary materials and documentation

    • Utilizing tools and equipment to shape and form complex angles and configurations according to specifications

    • Operating shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools

    • Complying with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, using personal protective equipment as required

    • Conducting monthly 5S audits

    • Using the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work

    • Assisting in developing initiatives to meet individual OGSM requirements

    This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

    • Have a high school diploma or GED

    • Have at least four years of sheetmetal and/or fabrication experience preferred

    • Have experience in the aerospace industry

    • Have advanced knowledge of sheetmetal or fabrication processes

    • Can read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation

    • Have a valid driver's license

    • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

    • Can adapt to sudden schedule changes

    • Are able to use tools and equipment associated with sheetmetal work

    • Are able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift

    • Have a good working knowledge of computers and experience working with Microsoft Office suite
