    This Opportunity

    WSP is currently initiating a search for a Rail Operations-Construction Coordinator for our San Francisco, CA, office . The following locations will also be considered: Oakland, CA-Broadway Be involved in projects with our Transit & Rail Operations Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

    Your Impact

    • Be involved with our Caltrain Rail Operations-Construction Coordination Projects Team supporting the client's objectives and solving their challenges.

    • The full-time position will reside in the client's office located in San Carlos, CA

    • Serve as liaison for Operations, Engineering, and Capital Construction Programs.

    • Plan and manage the operations and construction scheduling impacts associated with ongoing and future capital projects/construction

    • Review, investigate and evaluate program/project coordination issues

    • Review, analyze and report on daily force account resource requirements, capital projects, rail operations, and potential service disruption and/or schedule impacts

    • Support the preparation of Caltrain operations and capital program projects' coordination agendas

    • Review and advise on service timetables and construction schedules; develop and review future rail operational programs

    • Coordinate and recommend mitigations for issues associated with the Caltrain O & M contract operator regarding day-to-day force account resource requirements & scheduling, equipment manipulations, crew assignments, and track access assignments.

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Transportation or related field

    • 7 - 10 years overall combined experience in project coordination, project management, construction management, and coordination of multi-disciplinary activities with capital projects and infrastructure maintenance

    • Demonstrated experience in rail-related project(s)

    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and monitor major project activities, including progress versus schedules

    • Experience reviewing and responding to project progress schedules and mitigating scheduling issues

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Competent computer skills and use of software applications including MS Office, project management/scheduling tools, GIS, AutoCAD

    • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple project activities simultaneously

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and manage internal and external clients in a complex project/organizational environment

    • EIT or PE in California is a plus.
