WSP is currently initiating a search for a Rail Operations-Construction Coordinator for our San Francisco, CA, office . The following locations will also be considered: Oakland, CA-Broadway Be involved in projects with our Transit & Rail Operations Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
Be involved with our Caltrain Rail Operations-Construction Coordination Projects Team supporting the client's objectives and solving their challenges.
The full-time position will reside in the client's office located in San Carlos, CA
Serve as liaison for Operations, Engineering, and Capital Construction Programs.
Plan and manage the operations and construction scheduling impacts associated with ongoing and future capital projects/construction
Review, investigate and evaluate program/project coordination issues
Review, analyze and report on daily force account resource requirements, capital projects, rail operations, and potential service disruption and/or schedule impacts
Support the preparation of Caltrain operations and capital program projects' coordination agendas
Review and advise on service timetables and construction schedules; develop and review future rail operational programs
Coordinate and recommend mitigations for issues associated with the Caltrain O & M contract operator regarding day-to-day force account resource requirements & scheduling, equipment manipulations, crew assignments, and track access assignments.
Who You Are
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Transportation or related field
7 - 10 years overall combined experience in project coordination, project management, construction management, and coordination of multi-disciplinary activities with capital projects and infrastructure maintenance
Demonstrated experience in rail-related project(s)
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and monitor major project activities, including progress versus schedules
Experience reviewing and responding to project progress schedules and mitigating scheduling issues
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Competent computer skills and use of software applications including MS Office, project management/scheduling tools, GIS, AutoCAD
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple project activities simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and manage internal and external clients in a complex project/organizational environment
EIT or PE in California is a plus.
