    The Headlines:

    In the role of Instrumentation Controls Electrician, you will perform support UOPS & UACRG teams through troubleshooting of electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues in our core utilities operating systems.

    This role executes preventative maintenance strategies on a variety of electrical, instrumentation, and controls equipment as assigned by the utilities asset care planning team. In this role, you will also support engineering projects as needed to bring new knowledge and technologies into central utilities processes.

    The Responsibilities:

    • General:

    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, controls, & instrumentation issues for utilities systems including ammonia refrigeration compression & distribution, carbon dioxide compression and distribution, air compression and distribution, cooling water supply and distribution, electrical distribution, steam, and condensate distribution/return.

    • Complete electrical and instrumentation preventative maintenance such as set-up, adjustment, calibration, PID tuning, & replacement/overhauls.

    • Support utilities operations (uops) and utilities asset care resource group (uacrg) teams as needed.

    • Partner with and support customer departments (brewing, packaging, etc) as needed.

    • Work as a self-motivated technician with minimal supervision, always focusing towards improving equipment reliability through well executed strategy and procedures.

    • Collaborate with team leads, planners, and operators to reduce unplanned downtime.

    • Uses data and root-cause problem solving to drive continuous process improvement.

    • Documents all work and activities in CMMS (SAP) in a timely manner.

    • Electrical Craft Work :

    • Perform set-up, adjustment, timing, troubleshooting, replacement, and programming of electrical equipment with some minor mechanical following Asset CARE methodology.

    • Dismantle, inspect, and rebuild electrical assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications or production requirements.

    • Instrument Technician Craft Work:

    • Perform set-up, adjustment, calibrations, ranging, PID loop control, programming, and troubleshooting of controls and instrumentation equipment, including measurement equipment.

    • Safety :

    • Contribute to a safe workplace by performing all tasks in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and FDA codes, policies, & regulations. Including lock out / tag out / try out and confined space safety rules, Follow waste disposal and accumulation requirements as regulated.

    The Other Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or GED required.

    • Ability & Willingness to pass a HAZMAT physical and an ERT Level III Technician Course

    • Demonstrated experience in an electrical &/or instrumentation and controls support role.

    • Flexibility to work a 4x4 schedule (4, 12-hour shifts) or a 5x2 (5, 9.3-hour shifts)

    • Flexibility to work both days and nights. (5:30am-5:30pm, 5:30pm-5:30am) Standard 4x4 Schedule

    Preferred Requirements (knowledge and experience requirements):

    • CCST Certifications Preferred. (Level I, Level II)

    • Journeyman Electrician Licensure

    • Previous Experience with Process Instrumentation (Flow, Pressure, Temperature, Etc.)

    • Previous Experience with Controls Systems (PLC, ControlLogix, Panel View, FactoryTalk, Etc.)

    Job Posting Hourly Rate: $42.26 - $45.98
