This position is responsible for the set up and operation of paint guns on a paint line and maintains continuous workflow through adherence of documented processes. This position is dedicated on getting the job done right the first time and promotes a safe work environment focused on overall continuous improvement and world-class manufacturing. This is a swing shift position.

Job Description

• Perform shot blasting and other surface preparation and painting duties
• Parts Masking/plugging
• Maintain a clean and organized work station
• Follows all required safety procedures
• Self-directed, and ability to work well in self-directed teams required
• Able to operate forklift, overhead crane, and other lifting devices
• Assist with assembly processes as needed for efficient flow of work through department

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED

• 1+ year(s) painting experience

Qualifications

• Experience in a high volume, fast paced production environment
• Must be experienced in operation air-assisted airless, HVLP, and conventional systems
• Knowledge of plural components a plus
• Knowledge of paint gun set up, operation and maintenance
• Knowledge and application of the unique safety requirements for using paint
• Understanding of finished product quality requirements
• Ability to mix paint to specific ratios
• Mechanical aptitude
• Frequent lifting of 50 pounds
• Good range of motion in elbows and shoulders
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to wear a respirator for extended periods of time
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Must be able to pass respirator physical and fit test and work with required PPE
