  • We are seeking a skilled framing carpenter to join our team and support contractors throughout Birmingham, AL . In this long-term, temp-to-hire role, you'll earn $22-$28 an hour, enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule. The framing carpenter will be responsible for constructing the skeletal framework of buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs, using various materials such as wood, steel, and concrete. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential or commercial construction, possess strong carpentry skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

    Note:The pay rate for this job is $22 - $28 / hour

    Responsibilities

    • Interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine layout and materials required for framing projects.

    • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials to construct framing components, ensuring precision and accuracy.

    • Install structural components such as beams, joists, and trusses according to building codes and project specifications.

    • Align and brace framing components to ensure stability and structural integrity.

    • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects, engineers, and contractors, to coordinate framing activities and resolve any issues that may arise.

    • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

    • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, and perform routine maintenance as needed.

    • Complete framing projects within established timelines and budgets, while maintaining quality standards. 

     Qualifications:

    • Be at least 18+ years of age

    • Proven experience as a framing carpenter in residential or commercial construction.

    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans.

    • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.

    • Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble framing components.

    • Understanding of building codes and regulations related to framing construction.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

    • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
