Position: Electricians Helper

Type: Contract, 12+ months

Pay: Based on experience

Location: Sabine Pass, Texas, USA

Client Overview:

A Joint Venture operation consisting of a global engineering corporation that is headquartered out of Japan along with a premier large scale Construction company and a world-renowned global Engineering Procurement and Construction company.

Summary of Position: The Electricians Helper will assist in the installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems at the job site. This position r eports directly to Journeyman Electrician

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Understand and follow instruction of electricians and electrical supervisors

• Assists in pulling cables, lifting, hoisting and positioning materials

• Able to pull cable, run cable tray, build and install supports

• Must follow all Project SSH&E procedures and guidelines, including PTW (Permit-to-Work) and LOTO procedures

Requirements:

• Active Texas apprentice license

• Basic knowledge of electrical tools, electrical systems and wiring

• 1-2 years of related experience in LNG, refinery, petrochemicals, chemical, or power generation industries

• Knowledge of National Electric Code, State and local building codes

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and electrical drawings

• Possesses basic tools and PPE required for the job

• Capability to successfully complete NFPA70E training

• Able to work 50+ hour work week

• Experience with LNG commissioning & daily operations is a plus

• Ability to work in changing climate conditions.

• Ability to work in confined spaces and work at height 200' plus

• Ability to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, & standing

• Ability to climb ladders, walk up & down stairs.
