Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Electrician to support our business in Chantilly, VA. This organization supports mission critical government programs.This candidate will independently maintain and repair electrical, lighting and control systems in a government facility. Work schedule will be first shift Monday through Friday.Electrical equipment includes items such as, but not limited to, medium voltage switch gear and substations, all low voltage substations, protective relays, cables, transformers, circuit breakers, direct current power supplies, instrumentation, distribution panels, connections, grounds, outlets, switches, wiring, branch circuits, and ground fault circuits.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:â€¢ Maintain, install and repair 120/208 volt and 277/ 480 volt electrical power distribution systems including electrical main gear, transformers, feeders, panels, branch, circuits, motors, lighting and troubleshooting systems. â€¢ Uses general knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety procedures. â€¢ With limited supervision, constructs commercial office space by providing overall electrical capabilities. â€¢ Responds to trouble calls and resolves a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. â€¢ Repairs and maintains power plant and office facilities equipment and can demonstrate advanced skill level in these areas. â€¢ Interprets basic schematics and diagrams. â€¢ Under general guidance, reviews customer requirements and evaluates product capabilities. â€¢ May receive specialized equipment training. â€¢ May provide guidance and training to peers and/or customers on the general use of equipment. â€¢ Lift and carry up to 35 lbs. â€¢ Climb ladders, work from aerial/scissor lifts, walk on grid platforms and work from the roofs of commercial building. â€¢ Frequent reaching above shoulder level, climbing, kneeling, bending, and continuous standing.This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):- Minimum 5 years Electrician experience- Capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35lbs- Journeyman or master electrician license - A valid driver's licensePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):-High Voltage Electrician ExperienceTHIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON U.S. GOVERNMENT SITE CONTRACT AWARD.
