  • Description:

    The Electrical Foreman is responsible for leading and managing electricians at the branch. As the main

    point of contact for electricians, this person should be fully competent in all aspects of residential wiring

    and solar electrical installation. This includes OSHA and safety practices, NEC requirements for solar,

    electrical wiring, system design, commissioning, and troubleshooting. This person should be able to

    manage a large diverse team in an efficient manner and have the ability to train new electricians on all

    aspects of installation.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Manage, lead and train all electricians in the branch.
    • Manage and review projects prior to installation to ensure potential issues are mitigated and electricians are set up for success.
    • Address installation and post installation issues.
    • Install solar electrical systems and perform Service Changes and Main Panel Upgrades
    • Collaborate with Construction Manager / Foreman and Branch Manager for scheduling and hitting branch goals

    Requirements:

    Must have a current Oregon Residential, Journeyman, or Master Electrical License

    *Or equal license in a reciprocal state

    • Extensive knowledge of electrical installation and electrical code
    • Ability to climb a ladder, work on a roof, and comfortable with working outside
    • Proficient in NEC requirements for solar installation
    • Ability to read schematics and follow technical installation instructions
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
    • High attention to detail and quality
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Management or leadership experience preferred
    • Ability to maintain professional attitude
    • Ability to maintain electrical license

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Electrical License in the state where employed
    • Minimum 1 year experience in the solar industry
    • Minimum 1 year experience with residential electrical systems
    • Experience with service changes and main panel upgrades
    • Proficient with hand and power tools
    • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
    • Ability to climb ladders and work on roofs up to a 45 degree pitch
    • Drivers license and good driving record required
    • Overnight travel may be required
