Plano-Coudon Construction is seeking a skilled and ambitious professional to be our Director of Preconstruction.

    The Director of Preconstruction will lead, develop and manage the estimating and pre-construction functions of the company, including strategy and operations. Oversee all marketing and communications for the company.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Big Picture

    • Prepare and lead strategic planning for the growth and development of the Preconstruction Department in support of the Company's overall Vision.

    • Manage the Preconstruction Department staff including Estimators, Proposal Writers, Marketing and Communications personnel. Recruit, train and develop staff.

    • Engage in extracurricular industry activities including trade associations and community organizations to promote the company as well as your personal brand as a leader.

    Pipeline Management

    • Manage the tracking and forecasting of our project pipeline including overseeing the use of our CRM software platform.

    • Assist leadership team in developing CRM strategy including identification of key clients and contacts and our approach to developing these relationships.

    • Manage all leads and opportunities the company receives to the best outcome. Utilize a disciplined "Go, No Go" system to identify the highest and best use of our resources to capture quality work.

    Preconstruction & Estimating

    • Interface with clients to assist with conceptual budgets, site selection, feasibility of projects. Be a trusted resource for clients at the early stage of projects.

    • Provide value added services to clients to include system studies, industry trends, and value analysis.

    • Assign resources as required to provide responsive bid proposals and preconstruction deliverables. Coordinate with Operations team for additional support needed.

    • Identify and evaluate risk factors related to each bid response. Communicate major risks with Ownership to determine risk tolerance for bids.

    • Use a strategic approach to maximize our chances of winning bids.

    • Stay in tune with company backlog, understanding where future projects are needed to maintain a high utilization of the Operations staff and to meet our budget.

    • Promote best practices for estimating approach and deliverables to maintain a high standard and value for our clients.

    • Develop and maintain a strong pool of subcontractors able to support Plano-Coudon's work and deliver great results.

    • Develop and evaluate schedules as required to support bid proposals.

    • Participate on and assist teams to strategize and develop winning presentations.

    • Organize and lead transition meeting between the estimating team and the operation team.

    Marketing & Communications

    • Oversee website content, regular publications and social media program.

    • Manage our 3rd party Marketing and Communications consultant.
