Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Construction Inspector to join our team, focusing on ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects. The role involves performing construction-related inspections across various disciplines, monitoring adherence to building codes, construction drawings, and project specifications. The ideal candidate will conduct visual and physical inspections, field testing, and prepare detailed inspection reports. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with the project team and reporting to the project manager. The position requires adherence to strict safety standards and maintaining quality on all projects.

Hard Skills

• Construction Inspection experience

• Certifications: ACI, ICC, NICET in Soil, Concrete, Masonry

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Competence in drafting inspection reports

Soft Skills

• Clear and effective communication

• Basic data analysis for accuracy verification

• Collaboration with project team and senior inspectors

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Work Environment

Full-time role with work hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential Saturdays. A work truck is provided, and a clean MVR is required. The role typically operates in outdoor field locations under varying weather conditions and may involve working near heavy equipment, at heights, in confined spaces, and exposure to various environmental factors. PPE is required, and the employee must be capable of physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting up to 30 pounds, and possessing specific vision abilities. Hazmat and respiratory medical monitoring may apply, and occasional overnight travel could be necessary.
