Apprentice Electrician

Note:The pay rate for this job is $18 - $25 / hour

Responsibilities

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8,10 hour shift.

• To install new street lighting, wire up and set working to appropriate specifications and to meet current electrical installation standards.

• Review blueprint and schematics to ensure the project is completed to specifications.

• Assist the Journeyman Electrician(s) with any materials, tools, or tasks requested.

• Undertake electrical testing of street lighting installations, complete and report required records.

• Build out control boxes for manual streetlight and automated system controls next to streetlight pole.

• Maintain wiring for the streetlights and perform any troubleshooting and repairs as necessary.

• Maintain knowledge of current electrical code and ensure all electrical systems meets standards. 

• Follow all OSHA and safety protocol to ensure safety on the jobsite. 

 Qualifications:

• Current/active TDLR Apprentice Electrician license

• OSHA-10 Certification or a willingness to obtain it is a huge plus!

• 3+ years experience as an Electrician.

• Position does require a drug screen.

• Position does require a background check.
