This position will provide primary support to the Crinum M Block project, as well as other Bechtel/BHP Billiton Hub work. Currently in selection study phase with an early works component, Crinum M Block will develop a brownfield underground mine which will increase the life of the Gregory Crinum Mine. At twice the size of the Crinum North project, this project will look at developing new infrastructure to enable underground mining operations across a significant area (approximately 6km x 4km).
The Role
Reporting to the Regional Project Risk Leader and to Senior Project Managers, the Risk Coordinator will manage and administer the risk programs on projects. The successful candidate will be computer literate and competent with systems based applications. In addition to coordinating project risk activities, this position will manage the risk database, maintain the established risk software system and provide technical support to other risk team members.
The successful candidate will be well organized, a 'people' person and have exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills. They will be open to change, able to quickly grasp underlying business structures and follow established processes. They will be results focused and manage work with process and systems approach.
The role has exposure to Senior Management and is an integral part of the project team as they focus on meeting project budget and schedule targets.
The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
* Maintain the risk software application across up to 12 projects, with a major focus on Crinum M Block * Support the risk team with technical queries relating to the risk software application * Liaise with Bechtel and client leaders to update risk items from the project risk register * Ensure the review of risk activities is performed in accordance with project requirements * Coordinate the timely delivery of risk status reports to project management * Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and risk working group * Act as the custodian for project risk register
About You
To be considered for this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
* Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite * Effective communication and relationship management skills * Effective presentation skills, both written and oral * Previous experience in the industry or in risk is desirable * Tertiary qualifications in a related field are desirable but not essential
In addition, you will have the following personal attributes:
* Excellent interpersonal skills * Customer, goals and results focused * Ability to work under pressure * Ability to work without supervision * Diligent, self starter
