Summary

APAC-Texas Inc/Oldcastle Materials S.W., one of the largest highway construction contractors in the United States seeks a plant laborer to join the Texas Bitulithic team.

Position Summary:
Ensure safe, efficient, and proper operation of various pieces of heavy equipment

Qualifications (Education/Experience) and Required Skills:
* Prefer a High School education/GED, or equivalent education and experience
• Capable of passing required physical examination
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses
• Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)
• Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure
• Maintain reliable attendance, meeting company standards, and maintain a positive attitude.

Pre-Employment Drug Screen Physical Evaluation Required.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required demonstrate the ability to lift 50-100 lbs. of asphalt as well as push/pull force. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
