HS Diploma or GED and 3 yrs. experience working as a Facilities and Equipment Specilaist.
Requires the ability to read basic mechanical and electrical prints and perform shop math. Conversational English required with the capability to read, write, and converse in English at a level adequate to understand and give direction/instruction.
Must be able to routinely pass drug screening.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Must be a US Citizen with valid state issued driver's license.
Must possess a current U.S. passport.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. Associate's degree
. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and JD Edwards
. OLVIMS, AFEMS and LIMS-EV experience
Job Description: Perform hands-on scheduled maintenance activities and inspections to ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of plant equipment. Primary role is to troubleshoot and maintain contractor-owned equipment via a preventative maintenance schedule. Has an advanced level of well-rounded mechanical expertise including electrical, hydraulic, automotive repair, forklift repair, etc. Identify and report, and/or repair, pending safety or equipment problems as necessary. Document performed procedures with standardized forms. Perform construction, fabrication, or repair duties as required.
Work can be mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic, in nature. However, working with a Maintenance Journeyman would be required for technical, live electrical or advanced functions. Daily use of mechanical and electrical hand tools and test equipment is required. Ladders and powered man-lift equipment are regularly used in this job in conjunction with fall arrest devices.
FORM OF COMMUNICATION USED: Printed work orders, preventive maintenance instructions, schematics, sketches, service manuals, verbal instructions, requisitions.
TOOLS USED: Basic miscellaneous mechanic's, electrician's, plumber's, and/or carpenter's tools.
EQUIPMENT USED: Welders, torch, ladders, hydraulic lift platform, power tools, lift trucks, electrical test equipment.
MATERIAL USED: Various material as required.
MISCELLANEOUS: Keep work area clean and orderly. Keep records as required. Perform related duties as directed. Requires personal hand tools.
