Safety at BECK is a key underlying principle in how we do work. Beck Drilling will provide, maintain and operate in a safe environment for all employees, clients and public. We are committed to providing safe working equipment, necessary personnel protection and a daily health and safety review for each drilling event. Due to continued growth we currently are seeking a Driller's Helper to join our Edmonton, AB team. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Ensure all BECK and site specific safety policies and procedures are followed Actively participate in all safety related meetings including: daily tail gates, last minute risk assessment, etc Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment Assist Driller on Geo-Environmental Drill Rigs. Assisting with equipment maintenance and repair Cleaning equipment and keeping work area clean A successful candidate will preferably have industry experience. All employees must be fit for work, adhere to all health and safety policies, have the ability to work long hours in various weather conditions, and be willing to work away from home for significant blocks of time. Preferences will be given to candidates who have a mechanical background with respect to maintenance, servicing, repair, and safe operation of heavy duty equipment. In addition, preference will be given to those with a working knowledge of the oil and gas industry. Clean Driving abstract a must. Class 3, Class 1 preferred.
