Minimum Requirements: . High School Diploma or Equivalent . Basic knowledge of EXACTIMATE damage assessment software. . Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. . Basic knowledge of the International Residential Code (IRC) for residential construction. . Demonstrated attention to detail in relation to accuracy of field construction of homes per specific plans and specifications. . Basic knowledge of processes, procedures and work flows relative to scattered site residential construction activities for reconstruction and rehabilitation activities. . Ability to work with contractors and project managers and handle potentially sensitive situations. . Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills. . Job Description: The Disaster Recovery Team West of URS is actively seeking a creative, talented Construction Inspector for immediate employment in the Beaumont, TX office.
Incumbent Responsibilities: . Responsible for working with the Lead Construction Inspector Coordinator and Project Manager in executing residential construction inspections. . Responsible for verifying that the contractor is constructing the project based on issued plans and specifications, change orders, information requests, design clarifications and drawings. . Responsible for verification and documentation of construction progress inspections for reporting purposes. . Responsible for preparing various documents and spreadsheets for inspection reports. . Responsible for preparing daily report on the status of work, including confirmation of work accomplished available resources and jobsite conditions. EOE M/F/D/V
