Ravencor Projects, a member of Talon Energy Services, provides multi-discipline construction and construction management services for the oil and gas, resource, and heavy industrial sectors. We employ a skilled workforce in mechanical, piping, structural, electrical and instrumentation disciplines. Ravencor Projects is seeking a Lead Construction Estimator for the St. John's office. This is a senior position working closely with management to secure multi-discipline construction projects in the commercial and industrial sectors. The successful individual will be responsible for leading all estimating activities and developing the estimating program in a professional environment. This is a fast-paced and highly rewarding position for an individual committed to growth and success. If you are from a general contracting background and have the following skill sets, you must apply for this position. Responsibilities: ?Review tender documents to determine scope of work. ?Develop proposals and successful bid strategies. ?Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. ?Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy and presentations as requested, including site visit meetings. ?Review design options and recommend best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials. Qualifications: ?An engineering diploma or degree or significant estimating experience (10-15 years). ?Must have a solid background in multi-discipline estimating as a general contractor in a commercial and/or industrial environment, specifically in the local industry. ?Ability to prepare complex estimates with minimal supervision. ?Ability to work on multiple projects. ?Design-build and lump sum experience is a plus. ?Strong computer skills, including MS Work and MS Excel. ?Ability and experience using estimating software such as Accubid is an asset.
