Senior Credit AnalystSenior Credit Analyst Business Unit Milgard Manufacturing Job Posting Category Accounting/Finance City Tualatin State/Province Oregon Country United States Job Description SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Senior Credit Analyst analyzes credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit to customers and maintains and/or strengthens relationships and maximizes the opportunity for sales while executing on credit goals.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Contact banks, credit and trade associations, salespeople and others to obtain credit information. ·Obtain and review personal and business credit reports of customers for determination of credit terms. · Obtain credit ratings on customers, provide credit ratings based on reviewed information, review existing credit ratings for any changes needed. Communicate changes, etc. to Sales Manager and Finance Manager. ·Study economic trends in firms' industry or branch of industry to predict probable success of new customer. ·Responsible for collections, for following up on collections, placing accounts on credit hold as necessary, interacting with customers and with Sales personnel to ensure communication. ·Administration, processing and execution of construction liens to secure against and collect receivables. ·Administration and processing of consumer rebates as needed. ·Performs all credit administration tasks related to the credit and collection function including billing, credits, RMA's, liens, rebates, cash posting, reconciling customer accounts and collection activities, etc. ·Exercises certain level of decision-making authority as needed to maintain relationships and execute on results within acceptable company and management guidelines. ·Periodically visits customers in the field as needed to manage credit results and relationships. ·Maintain accounts/database to ensure credit ratings, debt, etc., are current and communicated to appropriate individuals. ·Supports month-end close activities including ensuring proper revenue recognition, closing the books and runs and distributes sales reports to sales personnel and management. ·Provide superior customer service to ensure customers (dealers, suppliers, sales personnel, etc.) have all necessary current information. Follow up to ensure resolution of issues. ·ExecutesMPSplans, achievesMPScommitments and works within the guidelines ofMPS; reflects Milgard's business values and the Milgard philosophy in all business interactions. ·Incorporates Milgard's vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors. ·Adheres to all facets of safety policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: ·Minimum 5 - 7 years credit and collection experience and knowledge of accounts receivables ·Construction lien knowledge and experience preferred ·Experience in manufacturing environment preferred ·Excellent customer service skills required
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING: ·High School Diploma or GED required ·Associate's Degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school preferred ·Thorough knowledge of accounting basics with some general ledger experience ·Complete knowledge of MS Word and Excel required ·Ten key operation by touch
